The Joe Shute Keel Weighted Lure is the latest addition to the wildly popular Joe Shute Lures line up.  These lures are heavier on the bottom than the top, so they’re less likely to roll or spin, will pull and track straighter.  Additionally, you’ll always have the “belly” side down.

In addition to the keel weight, these new Joe Shute lures have an over-sized hole at the back of the head, allowing for a bait spring to lock in or a standard pin rig (when trimmed).  All you need to do is twist the head down onto the spring a couple of turns and you’ll be locked in.  The spring method is easy to use and due to the size of the 5 ounce head, will not adversely affect your presentation in any way.  Like most of his newer stuff, the Joe Shute keel weighted lure is tied using .7 diameter hair.  This is thicker than most sea witch hair and provides fewer tangles and a larger profile in the water.
